This garden was on a very steep slope
facing towards the house with no level
areas. We cut into the bank to make the
patio by the house and then terraced
the garden to achieve a level lawn and
deck area. The retaining walls and beds
were constructed from redwood sleepers
with the plan to plant creeping Thyme,
Ceanothus, Rock Roses and other low
growing shrubs to create a cascade of
flowers and foliage down from the top
level to the house.
